MY OPINION
Growing up, I was strong and healthy. I reached a point, 20 years ago, when I was 40 that I could hardly go on.
I am a veteran of Vietnam – the most contaminated place on earth. I had dysentery for the entire 460 daysI was there. We were administered tons and tons of inoculations, and we took pills on a daily basis. Stress came from many directions. Because of this, I think at age 40, I was almost dead.
In Vietnam, I was exposed to Agent Orange, Agent Blue and a few other chemicals no one ever talks about today. So, even though, I made it home from Vietnam with all my limbs, the daily battles go on for me – I call it the Rhyme – the daily flash-backs, the nightmares and the physical wear and tear. I think of my fallen friends at the most unusual and mostinconvenient times. The war goes on for me……. it will always be there for all of us humbled warriors.
